شیخ نورالدین ایک بڑا کشمیری نسل روحانی بزرگ تھا۔

آپ اڈوٙن پرگنہ کے وکھی گاؤں میں ٧٧٩ ہجری بمطابق ١٣٧٨ میں پیدا ہوئے_

آپ کے آبا و اجداد کشتواڑ کے رہنے والے تھے۔

آپ کے جد امجد کا نام "اوگرا سنز" تھا جو اپنے زمانے میں ایک راجا تھا۔

آپ کے والد کا نام "سالارالدین" اور والدہ کا نام "سدرہ ماجی" تھا۔

آپ کی شادی 13 سال کی عمر میں " زے دہر" نامی ایک خاتون کے ساتھ ہوئی جن سےآپ کے دو بچے بھی ہوئے۔

آپ ایک مبلغ بھی تھے اور اعلی درجے کے شاعر بھی تھے۔

آپ کے اشعار کو "نندوُ شرکی" کہتے ہیں اور انہیں بعد میں "نور نامہ" اور "کلیات شیخ العالم" میں محفوظ رکھا گیا۔

کشمیر کے لوگ آپ کو "نندریشی" اور "عالمدارِ کشمیر" کے نام سے بھی یاد کرتے ہیں۔

آپ 63 سال کی عمر میں ٨۴٢ ھ بمطابق ١۴٣٨ء میں اس دنیا سے وفات پائی۔

 جھیل ڈل

ڈل سری نگر، جموں اور کشمیر، بھارت کے گرمائی دارالحکومت میں ایک جھیل ہے۔ یہ زائرین کے اہم ہاٹ سپاٹ میں سے ایک ہے۔ یہ انتہائی خوبصورت اور پر سکون ہے۔ یہ ریاست سری نگر کے لیے بہت اہم مقام ہے اور اسی لیے اسے "کشمیر کے تاج میں زیور" یا "سری نگر کا زیور" کہا جاتا ہے۔ یہ جموں و کشمیر کی دوسری سب سے بڑی جھیل ہے۔ جھیل کی اصلیت آج تک نامعلوم ہے۔ یہ ہندوستان میں میٹھے پانی کی سب سے بڑی جھیل ہے۔ جھیل کا رقبہ تقریباً 22 کلومیٹر ہے۔ یہ دنیا کے مشہور سیاحتی مقامات میں سے ایک ہے۔ یہ جھیل 18 مربع کلومیٹر کے رقبے پر محیط ہے۔ 7.4 کلومیٹر کی لمبائی کے ساتھ۔ اور 3.5 کلومیٹر کی چوڑائی۔ یہ ماہی گیری اور پانی کے پلانٹ کی کٹائی میں تجارتی کارروائیوں کا ایک ذریعہ ہے۔ لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ دال کا دورہ کرتے وقت ہاؤس بوٹ اور شکارا سواری پر ٹھہرنے کا انوکھا چھٹی کا تجربہ نہیں چھوڑنا چاہیے۔ ماحولیاتی آلودگی اور ہاؤس بوٹس سے نکلنے والا کوڑا ڈل جھیل کے پانی کے معیار کے لیے بڑا خطرہ ہے۔ برسوں سے پانی کا معیار گرا ہوا ہے۔

Pampore is a historical town situated on the eastern side of the Jhelum River on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. It was known as Padmanpur in antiquity.

It is famous worldwide for its saffron and known as the Saffron town of Kashmir. Pampore is one of the few places in the world where saffron, the world's most expensive spice, grows. 

The area is about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from Srinagar city centre Lal Chowk.
